I think some high end independents may be fun for you. Some comments have mentioned De Bethune, H Moser & Cie and Grönefeld and I’d agree with those. Depending on your budget MB&F, Cyrus or Hysek could be fun.

Maybe you could also take a peek at Czapek & Cie for something more conservative than the above. It’s also hard not to recommend some names like Breguet or A.Lange & Söhne, and yes, Patek Philippe as well.

Everyone has different tastes and wishes in life, a Timex and a book speaks to you which is great, for other people they want something different. Nothing wrong with that.
