It's definitely a bummer for those who loved the 39mm Aquis. However, the introduction of the 41.5mm version might fill the gap for some. Maybe if there's enough customer demand, Oris could reconsider the 39mm in the future, but for now, it seems like they're moving in a different direction.

Evolution over revolution seems to be the motto here. The new clasp and strap system on the Calibre 400 models look fantastic, but it's a shame they aren't available on all versions. Perhaps next time!

That's a good point. Catering to different budgets with movement options is smart. Perhaps Oris can refine their marketing to emphasize both affordability and the option to "upgrade" to the Calibre 400 for those seeking high-performance features.

Ah, that's a good point. You're right, it looks like the 39mm Aquis models might be discontinued altogether. While Oris hasn't explicitly stated it, the lack of a 39mm option in the new lineup and the focus on 43.5mm, 41.5mm, and 36.5mm suggests a shift in their core size offerings.

Absolutely! You hit the nail on the head with the Oris Aquis Cal. 400 vs. Tudor Black Bay 41 comparison. They're definitely heavyweight contenders in that price range.

Here's the thing, Tudor gets a lot of hype for the in-house METAS movement, but the Cal. 400 is a serious challenger. Think about it: 5-day power reserve compared to Tudor's 70 hours, anti-magnetic on both, but Oris throws in a 10-year warranty! Plus, some folks just prefer the cleaner aesthetic of the Aquis compared to the vintage vibes of the Black Bay.

Don't get me wrong, Tudor makes fantastic watches, but Oris is quietly building a reputation for innovation and value. They might be under the radar for some, but that "out of sight, out of mind" could soon turn into "wow, they're really onto something special here!"
