My friend invited me to this movie. I need to rethink my choice of friends. I dont know what the screenwriters were high on while writing this, but I really want to know… so I can stay TF away from it.

Ya, imagine if they went more horror with an R rating, that would of been fun, Deadpool has shown that you can do R. I wish they would of done that.

Sony's ability to fuck up their shit is almost impressive.

The formula for a Venom movie is very simple: Venom kills some guys who don't have symbiotes, then he kills a guy with a symbiote. While this is happening Tom Hardy goes goblin mode while arguing with the voice in his head.

And, like, I'll be honest and say I'm not a huge fan of that, but the first two were fun and basically worked. This one just… doesn't. It's bad. It clearly has some ideas how to escalate, and it just does not execute on them very well.

They should have never had Woody Harrelson as Carnage, they should have had someone really crazy like Cameron Monaghan, who could have really pulled off Cletus Kasady instead of Harrelson being Harrelson. That and the plot was all over, it felt like they cut and rearranged a bunch and slapped it together.

Now that you mention it, honestly, I can’t be the only one who wishes Venom had gone the R-rated route and embraced a horror/psychological thriller vibe. Imagine the potential for some real scares and a deeper exploration of Eddie and Venom's twisted relationship! Instead, we got this weird mix of comedy and action that just felt all over the place. It could've been so much darker and more intense!
