I believe it's directed at me, isn't it H? To answer your question.. well, same as CW. Bremont's rebranding misses by a wide margin too. It's actually kinda disappointing because I really liked the old Bremont branding. I hope they don't stray too far from what made them great in the first place. The new logo looks super generic, it's like something you'd find on a cheap knockoff from AliExpress. A shame really.

Their new design direction is also not pleasing. They've ditched the iconic trip-tick case construction, the 2 o'clock crown is gone, and those lug designs look weirdly egg-shaped. It feels like they're abandoning what made them unique in the first place, just to try and fit in with the crowd.

What did you think of Bremont's partial re-branding?

Fyi, the Rocket uses the NH38A movement which is the no-date version of the NH35 in question. I believe the keeps relatively good time. There are those who loathe the NH35 but that's uncalled for. There’s a certain amount of snobbery in it.

Part of what people want is a feeling of luxury and exclusivity, and the ubiquity of the NH35 runs against that. It’s the same reason the car people look down on a Toyota.

Maybe they should start a loyalty program… "Buy 10 Fears watches, get a free house!" 😂

You should try and see one in person and decide for yourself, it's very tricky to say whether something is worth a certain amount based on a short wearing period.

A city with both history and innovation at its core feels like the right setting for events like this. Looking at these watches, I learned that “flying under the radar” is any brand that isn’t Rolex, Omega, or Seiko.
