Complications can get thrown on any watch, a cheap watch made in China can have a moonphase complication, but you will be paying a lot more for a Swiss moonphase. Same for pretty much any complication.

You really pay for the movement and the brand. In house movements are obviously more expensive. If you are interested in a certain complication, just start looking around at different watches with that complication. You can find anything from $100 to $100,000.

If you prefer the look and the pedigree of the IWC and the cheaper price tag then it doesn’t necessarily matter. There’s a certain amount of practicality expected from a tool watch so a less decorated easier to maintain movement is perfectly acceptable….the others are all sports watches.

The LUC All-in-One does have a certain charm to it. The whole LUC line is like that cool indie band you didn’t think you’d be into, but then you find yourself humming their tunes all day. Cheers to unexpected watch love!

The Ingenieur can boast of being a true Genta Design but there is no way I am choosing over any of the 4 watches mentioned, the value proposition is really subpar.

Absolutely spot on! These watches are like hidden gems in the horological world. The value for money is off the charts, and the craftsmanship is nothing short of majestic.
